Different voices, different cultures
Thanks to Anima Mundi Productions, local students heard new works by women composers of color for free in a March 20, 2022, recital at Southern Oregon University. Before the event they took part in Zoom sessions that included meeting the performers and talking with a panel of women of color.
The performance, titled “Maternità,” explored the theme of motherhood through classical operatic heroines and the premiered pieces.
