Radio story about Six Feet Apart
Composer Ethan Gans-Morse and librettist Tiziana DellaRovere discuss their world premiere of a multi-media oratorio "Six Feet Apart," stories of transformation and resilience.
The lyrics come from interviews with Rogue Valley residents and their experiences of the pandemic, social unrest, and the wildfires.
Talking about the devastating Almeda fire, Gans-Morse reflected:
The fires that struck our Valley in Southern Oregon went right through this corridor of greenery where people had been sheltering and, incidentally, right through a number of low income housing areas that hit migrant and agricultural workers.
