Anima Mundi Productions is honored to receive $18,357 in Oregon Cultural Trust funding for “We Cannot Walk Alone,” our 2022 project that comprises commissioning seven (!) new works by BIPOC composers, premiering them on concerts across the northwest featuring internationally acclaimed BIPOC performers Takesha Meshé Kizart and Imani Winds in partnership with some of the biggest performing arts producers/presenters in the Northwest, including Chamber Music Northwest, Seattle Opera, and the Oregon Bach Festival, and taking these performing artists into our community in partnership with BIPOC-led organizations including the Southern Oregon Coalition for Racial Equity and BASE.

Read about all the O.C.T. grant announcements in this recent article by Oregon ArtsWatch featuring Chava Florendo’s beautiful photography from our upcoming film production of Dreams Have No Borders.

The names of the seven BIPOC composers and further details about We Cannot Walk Alone will be announced in a press release in November.

NOTE: The Oregon Cultural Trust is funded by a matching donation program. If you’re an Oregon taxpayer, you may be eligible to support an Oregon cultural nonprofit (like us!) and receive a credit reducing your state taxes by the full amount of your donation. Learn more HERE.
